WebRoger Williams (ca.1604-1684), was born in London, the son of James and Alice Pemberton Williams. He married Mary Barnard (d. 1676) 1629 at the Church of High Laver, Essex, England. He and Mary arrived at Boston, Massachusetts in 1631. They were parents of six children, all born in America (in Plymouth, Salem, and at Providence).
